Zealeuctra nymphs are uncommon in collections and only one species has been described in detail [Z. claasseni; Stewart and Stark 2002](Grubbs, et al. 2013)

Mature nymphs of 7 of the 8 North American species are undescribed (Stewart & Stark, 2002)
