1. Body (dorsal and ventral) and appendages densely clothed with long, stout bristles; (Fig. 1.1, Fig. 1.2) some AB bristles 0.5 times or more as long as their segment; cercal segments with at most one short dorsal and 2 ventral intercalary setae not forming a prominent vertical fringe (Fig. 1.3).
